well, I’m really loving this. Yes, it’s challenging… passed a hot dog place yesterday (they make Great hot dogs). It was MOST tempting, but I thought about my goal of better health and the other people that are going through this with me and I just drove on by. I went home and made myself a GORGEOUS salad and felt really good about doing something good for myself.
I think I lost a pound also!!!

My upstairs neighbor just told me he’s made a delicious seafood pasta… OH NO!!!! I SOOOOO want to taste it… this is what makes this so difficult. All this good tasting food around. I won’t do it, but it sure is hard not to at least “sample” it.
Also, any suggestions of how to prepare veggies some way besides just a salad?

O.K. well yesterday was my birthday…and up and until then..I was doing great….and, I am still doing great…..however, I did do the “its my b-day and I cant turn down the suprise b-day cake and sushi-dinner prepared just for ME!!!! So I indulged. But today… I did turn away from the fish and ground-beef taco’s…so hopefully I am back on track.
Also in regards to Madeline’s question….can she take a sample and Freeze it for 28 days …and then ENJOY!!! to maintain a mindset that we are not missing out on good foods…OR are we suppose to be developing a mindset that does not give into the current mindset that these foods (i.e., chese pasta’s) are o.k for us to eat.

Hey Madeline,
It’s amazing that when you’re trying to do something “good”, in any instance, how temptation comes rushing in to greet you.
I’ve got a great recipe for preparing avocado tacos and other fun veggie foods. I’ll share that with you during our next teleconference.
If you’re out and find yourself hungry get your creative juices flowing!!! How about some chinese food and instead of the meat get some vegetables. Also, if you like mexican food, you can stop by and have them make you a veggie taco, i.e. refried beans, guacamole, etc. Just exclude the meat…that’s all we need to do for now.

I love Luvina’s freeze it for 28 days suggestion. But how about this…let it sit out for 28 days just to get some idea of what it potentially looks like or smells like in our colons at 98.6 degrees
fahrenheit.
hmmm…just a thought.
Seriously, we are building up to something worthy of our bodies. This 28 day detox is more than just about 28 days…consider it maybe even a lifestyle change. Its our indefinite gift to our bodies. Understanding that our bodies are truly our temples and should be treated as such.
The idea of freezing it for later is a great idea certainly…it allows you time to consider greater possibilities beyond the 28 days.
Oh, and on that Chinese food, tell them no eggs!!! Ha-ha-ha

Hi,
Happy Birthday to Luvina!!!! yes… too hard to resist birthday treats.
I basically agree with Rosie on this. I want this to be a whole lifestyle change. I really need it. I ate like this many years ago and know it’s the best way to eat and want to keep going hopefully, for the rest of my life. After the 28 days, I think (hopefully) the most I would do would be 70% raw and 30% cooked. At this point in my life, I really need to get my health back. The thing that’s interesting to me is that “comfort” food (for me mashed potatoes, and fried food) really, in actuality cause a great deal of DIScomfort… in our bodies and just add to the toxins and crap.
Another thing is that one thing I really love about eating this way is that you can ALL you want and not worry about gaining weight. I LOVE eating!!!!

Hi,
I’m VERY hungry… and, to be honest, not looking forward to the next few days. A friend said she won’t be calling me this weekend because I’m going to be cranky. I already am!!!!!

Very hungry… off and on, but really glad I’m doing this. Had some kind of “spiritual” type release last night… I’m going to try to do this longer than til Monday. I’m going to try for a whole week…

I’m really inspired (again) to eat raw as much as possible. I was checking out raw food recipes and I noticed stuff about dehydrating fruits and veggies. What do you think about that?

Dehydrated fruits and veggies are great for snacks. Its about being prepared…put them in your purse and you’re good to go. So glad to hear that you’re inspired as much as possible to eat raw again!!!
